Atkore Acquires United Poly Systems
In late June 2022, Atkore has announced that they have acquired High Density Polyethylene pipe and conduit (HPDE) manufacturer United Poly Systems. In a press release, John Pregenzer, the president of Atkore’s electrical business says that this acquisition will greatly expand Atkore’s product portfolio while also increasing the company’s capacity to meet customer demand. With the HDPE pipe market expected to grow due to recent US infrastructure legislation, the acquisition of United Poly Systems is poised to be valuable for Atkore’s future. Atkore has also noted that United Poly Systems is the company’s fourth acquisition during 2022. United Poly Systems will continue its current operations in Missouri and New Mexico, where they employ more than 150 employees.

Vynova and Nicoll Partner to Provide Low-Carbon Wastewater System
Leading European PVC, chlor-alkali company Vynova has reached an agreement with thermoplastics company Nicoll. As part of the agreement, Nicoll will now use Vynova’s bio-attributed PVC for the company’s HOMETECH silent wastewater evacuation system. The pipes offer a low-carbon solution while still maintaining their quality, durability, and performance. The ability to use low-carbon pipes is estimated to reduce Nicoll HOMETECH’s carbon footprint by up to 60%. Vynova’s bio-attributed PVC is made from biomass feedstock, plant and animal matter that isn’t used in the food chain. Learn more here.
